2022 Must Have! The Creativity Project Guides.

The Creativity Project was started by two moms and educators who value a creative childhood. They started writing monthly guides to inspire creativity at home during the pandemic, and are now on their second season of their enormously popular Art & Play guides.

Their mission is to honor childhood by meeting children where they are and giving them the freedom and space to explore open-ended invitations in their own time, in their own way. This is exactly why I became an affiliate! I wholeheartedly believe in the power of play, imagination, and creativity.

I invite you to turn this year into an opportunity to start a creative practice in your home or classroom. You will be amazed at how easy it can be to provide children with the simple tools they need to grow and develop that all-important creative thinking.

January’s Guide

This month’s theme is Frozen, but you don’t need wintery weather to explore snow and ice! My favorite thing about these guides is that it also includes a diverse, inclusive book list! You know I love some good book recommendations. It also has curricular connections, ways to extend learning for older kids, a monthly artist spotlight, snack ideas and daily rituals.

So, are you ready to join me in the fun this month? Let’s imagine, create, and connect!

The guides are really a creative curriculum that you can use at home or in the classroom. They are geared towards ages 3-8, so they work really well in a multi-age classroom or home. The beauty of open-ended invitations is that each age approaches them differently - there is no right or wrong way to explore and be creative!

What’s included?

It depends on which membership you choose. The monthly guide is offered in 4 ways:

  1. As a member, with perks

  2. A la carte, separately in their shop

  3. 6-Month Membership

  4. In a 10-month bundle (the first season)

I have the Whole Child Membership, it has a monthly 26-page guide; 2 additional PDF printables each month to support members in building creative habits; 4 Weekly guided ArtPlaydates (digital half-hour classes led by early childhood educator, Harrison Smith); access to a private VIMEO channel where we post videos ranging from interviews to color mixing to cool art projects for home or classroom. I am honestly impressed with the detail, thought and work they put into the guides, well worth the $20!
